Aberdeens title hopes suffered a serious setback at Tynecastle where Juanma netted twice as Hearts came from behind to win 2-1. Although Simon Church gave the Dons a fourth minute lead, the Edinburgh side weathered an early onslaught before hitting back to keep alive their slim chances of securing second spot in the Scottish Premiership table. The visitors opened the scoring when Church stretched out a leg to clip the ball past keeper Neil Alexander at the near post, following Graeme Shinnies cross. And they should have doubled their advantage three minutes later when Niall McGinn failed to convert Kenny McLeans cross, with only Alexander to beat from three yards. Aberdeens Simon Church clips the ball past Hearts keeper Neil Alexander as the Dons open the scoring at Tynecastle Within 60 seconds Alexander denied McGinn from a tight angle, while an unmarked Shaleum Logan headed straight at the home keeper as Aberdeen threatened to run amok during the opening 12 minutes. At the other end, Scott Brown saved brilliantly as he pushed away Blazej Augustyns eight-yard header. Juanma levels matters after 32 minutes Brown then touched over Alim Ozturks looping free-kick but the visiting keeper was probably at fault as Hearts levelled matters on 32.From Ozturks low 30-yard strike, Brown could only parry the ball into the path of the unmarked Juanma who had the simple task of finding the bottom left-hand corner of the net from the edge of the six-yard box.Hearts came close to taking lead eight minutes into the second half when Logan slipped in the box but, from six yards, Prince Buaben could only scoop the chance over the bar under pressure from keeper Brown. Aberdeen skipper Ryan Jack is carried off late in the first half And shortly afterwards the hosts came close again as Igor Rossi drove the ball against a post from 20 yards. The second Jambos goal duly arrived on the hour when the visitors fell victim to the pace of Jamie Walker who sped down the left before crossing for Juanma to clinically nod the ball past Brown from seven yards.McGinn, who missed a couple excellent chances early in the first half, was wasteful again in the 70th minute as Aberdeen vainly chased an equaliser. Prince Buaben scoops over early in the second half As the game opened up during the closing stages, both sides enjoyed plenty of the ball without creating much in the way of clear cut chances.Derek McInness side appeared to run out of ideas as the home defence coped easily with each and every tired Dons attack. The result leaves Aberdeen five points adrift of Celtic who have one game in hand and just six more to play. But qualifying for her first Scotties Tournament of Hearts after years of falling short in tough Manitoba provincial championships is as good as consolation prizes get for the 29-year-old from Winnipegs Fort Rouge Curling Club.A group of prominent international players led by U.S. forward Abby Wambach has withdrawn a complaint over artificial turf fields at this years Womens World Cup in Canada. The artificial turf became a contentious issue with the players, who filed a complaint in Canada last fall that claimed the plan amounted to gender discrimination because the mens World Cup is held on grass. Our legal action has ended. But I am hopeful that the players willingness to contest the unequal playing fields — and the tremendous public support we received during the effort — marks the start of even greater activism to ensure fair treatment when it comes to womens sports, Wambach said in a statement Thursday. The players complaint was filed last fall with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. It named FIFA, the international governing body for soccer, and the Canadian Soccer Association. But neither organization budged in reconsidering the planned surface for the event. The Womens World Cup will be played in six Canadian cities starting in June, with an expanded field of 24 teams. The final is scheduled for July 5 at Vancouvers BC Place. The players are doing what FIFA and CSA have proven incapable of: putting the sport of soccer first, said attorney Hampton Dellinger.FIFA did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the matter.FIFAs head of womens competitions, Tatjana Haenni, spoke at an event promoting womens soccer in Philadelphia last week and reiterated FIFAs coontention that the event would go on as planned.ddddddddddddHowever, she acknowledged concerns about the turf at BC Place, and plans have since emerged to upgrade the surface before the event.Wambach was joined in the complaint by several other top players, including U.S. striker Alex Morgan, Germanys Nadine Angerer and Spains Veronica Boquete. The athletes have claimed that artificial turf is less forgiving than natural grass, and it impacts their play because of concerns about injury. They also claim that balls travel and bounce differently on fake grass, which also affects the game. But the overriding issue for the players was equity: No mens World Cup has been played on artificial turf.Even actor Tom Hanks took up the players cause, going to Twitter last year to say: Opinion: Womens World Cup is the best Soccer of the year. Hey FIFA, they deserve real grass. Put in sod. Hanx.Lakers guard Kobe Bryant also took to social media to post a photo of Sydney Lerouxs battered legs after a match on artificial turf.FIFA changed its rules in 2004 to allow sanctioned matches on certain artificial surfaces. A few games at the 2010 mens World Cup in South Africa were played on grass that had been reinforced by artificial fibers.FIFA rules also state that all matches and practices for the World Cup must be held on the same surface. Canadas bid for the event stipulated that the final be played on the artificial field at BC Place, which seats 55,000. cheap falcons jerseys cheap ravens jerseys cheap bills jerseys cheap bears jerseys cheap bengals jerseys cheap cowboys jerseys cheap lions jerseys cheap texans jerseys cheap colts jerseys cheap jaguars jerseys cheap chiefs jerseys cheap rams jerseys cheap dolphins jerseys cheap vikings jerseys cheap saints jerseys cheap giants jerseys cheap jets jerseys cheap eagles jerseys cheap steelers jerseys cheap 49ers jerseys ' ' '
